He has led projects like immunization facility assessments and maternal health feasibility studies, funded by the Gates Foundation, and has built capacity in digital health across Pakistan. Currently, Maryam brings her expertise to the largest sight loss charity in the UK, where she works within the innovation team on impactful projects aimed at enhancing patient care and accessibility. She is dedicated to driving change and creating solutions that make a meaningful difference in the healthcare sector.

Haider Ali, MBBS

Dr. Haider Ali, a consultant and postdoctoral scholar at UCSF, brings extensive expertise in healthcare innovation and project management. Formerly at Hyperfine, Inc., he led initiatives that secured a $3 million Gates Foundation grant to improve neuroimaging access in LMICs. As the founding manager of CITRIC at Aga Khan University, he grew the center to 120+ employees and raised $18 million in funding. Currently working with Dr. Amans’s team at UCSF, Dr. Ali contributes to pioneering research in cerebrovascular devices, driving advancements with the potential to transform patient care.
